Financial Operations Manager

Compensation:
£40,000 - £42,000 per annum

Hours: 40 hours per week, 08:30 - 16:30 (30 minutes lunch break). Flexibility to start earlier and finish earlier.

Position Overview:
We are in search of a proficient and seasoned Financial Operations Manager to become a vital part of our dynamic finance department.

The ideal candidate will be tasked with delivering precise financial data, analysis, and counsel to aid the management team in strategic decision-making.

This position encompasses the preparation of management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Core Responsibilities:
1. Generate monthly management accounts, inclusive of profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
2. Aid in the formulation of budgets and financial forecasts while monitoring performance against these metrics.
3. Conduct variance analysis to pinpoint and elucidate discrepancies between actual outcomes and budgeted figures.
4. Produce timely and precise financial reports for senior management, emphasizing key financial indicators and trends.
5. Oversee and regulate costs, identifying opportunities for savings and efficiency enhancements.
6. Manage cash flow by tracking cash inflows and outflows, providing recommendations for optimization.
7. Execute regular account reconciliations, including bank and intercompany reconciliations.
8. Assist in preparations for internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to financial regulations and standards.
9. Identify and implement process enhancements to boost the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.

Collaborate closely with other finance team members and departments to ensure alignment of financial objectives.

Ensure compliance with all pertinent financial regulations, laws, and internal policies.
Provide financial insights and support to management regarding business decisions, investments, and cost control strategies.

Qualifications and Skills:
1. Demonstrated experience in a Financial Operations Manager role.
2. Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
3. Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) is preferred.
4. Proficient in accounting software (Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with meticulous attention to detail.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and succinctly.
7. Strong organizational and time management skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
8. Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.

Compensation:
£40,000 - £42,000 (Dependent on experience & qualifications)
