About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Management Accountant to join our dynamic finance team at Streamline Search. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing accurate financial information, analysis, and advice to support the management team in decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts and monitor performance against them.
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify and explain discrepancies between actual results and budgeted figures.
  • Produce timely and accurate financial reports for senior management, highlighting key financial metrics and trends.
  • Monitor and control costs, identifying areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Manage cash flow by tracking cash inflows and outflows and provide recommendations for optimizing cash flow.
  • Perform regular reconciliations of accounts, including bank reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Assist in preparation for internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.
  • Work closely with other members of the finance team and other departments to ensure alignment of financial goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a Management Accountant role.
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) is preferred.
  • Proficient in accounting software (Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
