The University of Oxford is seeking a dedicated Clinical Data Manager to play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data across our clinical trials.

This position demands meticulous attention to detail and a strong understanding of data management principles within a research environment. You will collaborate closely with a diverse team, including trial managers, business analysts, software developers, statisticians, and statistical programmers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire data management process for clinical trials, ensuring adherence to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design, implement, and maintain robust clinical databases.
  • Validate data accuracy and completeness, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or inconsistencies.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of data quality control measures.
  • Provide support and guidance to research teams on data management best practices.

Qualifications:

  • A University degree in a quantitative field, such as computer science or statistics, is essential.
  • Proven experience in clinical data management within a research setting.
  • Expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining clinical databases.
  • Strong SQL skills and proficiency in data analysis techniques.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and numeracy skills.

This is a full-time fixed-term position for 3 years. Part-time applications will also be considered.
