As we grow, we are looking for a committed and skilled Part-Time HR Specialist to become a part of our team. This role presents a fantastic opportunity for an HR expert seeking flexible working arrangements while contributing significantly to our organization.

LOCATION: Milton Keynes, with hybrid working options and occasional site visits.

SALARY: £20,800 per annum (based on 20 hours per week, equivalent to £39,000 per annum full-time for 37.5 hours per week).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the complete recruitment process, including job advertisements, candidate evaluations, interviews, and onboarding, while managing relationships with recruitment partners.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees to ensure a seamless integration into the organization.
  • Monitor employee engagement and address concerns to foster a positive workplace culture. Provide assistance to staff and effectively manage their inquiries.
  • Administer performance reviews and deliver constructive feedback to both employees and management.
  • Manage disciplinary procedures and terminations in accordance with company policies.
  • Coordinate TUPE transfers and ensure that all employment contracts are current and compliant.
  • Handle return-to-work procedures, manage employee absences, and oversee redundancies and site closures.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure data integrity.
  • Advise management and operations on HR matters, taking the lead in critical situations.
  • Collaborate with external HR consultants for specialized guidance as required.
  • Keep HR policies, procedures, and relevant documentation updated to comply with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Organize company events and initiatives to enhance team morale and cohesion.
  • Assist with additional administrative duties as necessary.

Experience and Expertise:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a generalist HR role, capable of independently managing recruitment, employee relations, and compliance.
  • Strong understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practices.
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities effectively.

Working Hours and Availability:

  • Part-time, 20 hours per week. We offer flexibility regarding the days and times these hours will be worked.
  • Flexible working hours with a combination of remote work and office presence.
  • Willingness to participate in site visits or video calls on an ad hoc basis, including outside regular working hours.
