Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young individuals with complex needs?
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Support Worker to become part of our team at Retain Healthcare. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering exceptional care and assistance to young people facing Learning Disabilities (LD), Autism, and challenging behaviours within a residential environment.

About You:

  • A valid UK driving license is essential, and you should be open to travel.
  • At least 6 months of paid experience in a residential care environment working with young individuals.
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting those with LD/Autism and managing challenging behaviours.
  • Training in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) or Positive Behaviour Management (PBM) is required, along with practical application of these strategies.
  • Experience in observing and responding to self-injurious behaviours.
  • Comfortable working in a 2:1 staffing arrangement.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with young people.
  • Ability to effectively de-escalate conflict situations and manage challenging behaviours.
  • A solid understanding of safeguarding protocols and a commitment to person-centred care.
  • A proactive mindset, capable of managing a diverse workload and contributing to the efficient operation of the unit.
