Youth Transition Coach

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Youth Transition Coach to support disadvantaged young people in North Somerset. The successful candidate will work closely with young people in Years 10 and 11, developing positive relationships and creating action plans to achieve post-16 education goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver tailored 1:1 and group sessions to support young people in achieving their post-16 education goals.
- Collaborate with schools, families, employers, and other partner agencies to ensure effective delivery of sessions and promote a clear understanding of the project among all stakeholders.
- Work closely with selected young people to develop positive relationships and create action plans to overcome barriers and achieve post-16 education goals.
Requirements:
- GCSE Maths and English Grade C/4 or above.
- Level 4 Information, Advice and Guidance qualification or Level 3 Youth Work qualification as recognised by the JNC Report for Youth and Community Workers or another relevant Level 3 or above qualification.
- Relevant experience of direct work with young people from a diverse range of backgrounds and with a variety of needs.
