Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering a specialist cancer care service, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to patients with cancer.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist psychological assessments and interventions for patients with cancer, including individual and group work.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive service plan to meet the needs of patients with cancer, including the development of new services and the evaluation of existing ones.
  • Work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to patients with cancer, including attending multidisciplinary team meetings and contributing to the development of treatment plans.
  • Provide clinical supervision and support to junior staff members, including psychology assistants and trainees.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to cancer care, including the development of guidelines for the assessment and treatment of patients with cancer.
Requirements
  • Postgraduate doctorate in Clinical Psychology recognized as eligible for registration as a Practitioner Clinical Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council.
  • Significant experience of working within a clinical health setting, including experience of working with patients with cancer.
  • Well-developed skills in the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, highly technical and clinically sensitive information to patients, their families, carers, and other professional colleagues.
