Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist psychological assessments and interventions to individuals with learning disabilities and offending behaviors.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments of service users, including psychological and neuropsychological tests, self-report measures, and structured observations.
  2. Develop and implement complex treatment plans for service users, based on evidence-based psychological models and theories.
  3. Provide specialist psychological interventions, including individual and group therapy, to service users and their families.
  4. Evaluate treatment progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
  5. Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members.
  6. Provide specialist advice and guidance to colleagues and other professionals on psychological aspects of risk assessment and management.
  7. Contribute to the development of a specialist area of psychological interest and service, in agreement with the Consultant Psychologist and according to service priorities.
  8. Maintain accurate and timely record keeping, in line with professional guidelines.

Essential

  • HCPC Registered Practitioner Psychologist

Desirable

  • Further post-qualification training in a therapeutic approach
  • Previous experience of working with people with a learning disability
  • Previous experience of working in a forensic setting
  • Experience of providing supervision to other psychologists
