Clinical Psychologist / Psychological Therapist 8b - Adult Community Mental Health Teams

We are excited to present a remarkable opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist/Psychological Therapist at the forefront of our Adult Community Mental Health Teams. This role is integral to the development and enhancement of psychological services within our organization.

This position entails clinical leadership within the psychology team and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams. You will play a crucial role in innovating clinical pathways, strengthening service delivery, and implementing formulation-led care, thereby influencing the future direction of our services.

As a vital member of our team, you will deliver evidence-based psychological interventions for complex cases, working closely with fellow psychologists and other psychological professionals who specialize in various therapeutic modalities such as CBT, MBT, CAT, DBT, EMDR, and ACT. Providing support and supervision to the psychology team and trainees is a significant aspect of this role, along with ensuring adherence to governance standards related to service outcomes.

Opportunities for both clinical and leadership development are available, supported by a network of psychology staff across the locality.

Our Psychology Services maintain strong partnerships with educational institutions and community resources, actively engaging in collaborative initiatives.

Main Responsibilities

In your capacity as a Clinical Psychologist/Psychological Therapist, you will be instrumental in fostering psychologically informed practices within the multi-disciplinary team.

  • Conduct psychological assessments, formulate treatment plans, and provide a range of brief, evidence-based psychological interventions tailored to the needs of the population.
  • Design and implement appropriate psychological training for staff involved in service delivery.
  • Oversee the measurement of outcomes for psychological interventions.
  • Contribute to a co-produced vision for service development, empowering service users to have an active role in shaping psychological services.
