Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Clinical Support Specialist to join our team at Priory Group. As a Clinical Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting and enhancing the professional psychological care and assessment of service users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake protocol-based psychological assessments of service users, applying psychological tests and measures under the supervision of a qualified psychologist.
  • Assist in the formulation and delivery of care plans involving the psychological treatment and/or management of a service user's problems, under the supervision of a qualified psychologist.
  • Co-ordinate and co-facilitate therapeutic groups as appropriate.
  • Assist with the planning, delivery, and review of one-to-one sessions under the supervision of a qualified psychologist.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the form of case notes, case files, clinical reports, and other associated documentation.
  • Attend and contribute to multi-disciplinary meetings as required.
  • Support and undertake data collection and analysis for research and service evaluation purposes.
  • Contribute to the training and support of other staff.

Requirements:

  • Applicants will be expected to apply their learning from their undergraduate degree in psychology in their work, under the supervision of an experienced and HCPC-registered practitioner psychologist.
  • Assistant Psychologists will carry out tasks of responsibility under the management and supervision of an experienced and HCPC-registered practitioner psychologist.
  • The assistant psychologist workload will be managed under supervision and goals agreed in weekly supervision sessions.
