Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Education Specialist to join our team at Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the implementation of our workforce plan and ensuring the development of competencies and skills within our workforce.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support the development of a learning culture where research, clinical practice, coaching, and education are integral to clinical practice and patient safety.
  • Deliver Preceptorship and clinical skills training to meet the Trust's Clinical Competency framework to both new and existing staff.
  • Provide support and advice to teams on the roles of new staff, ensuring patient allocation to meet competency practice.
  • Support the development of clinical supervision required for effective delivery of the workforce plan.
  • Provide staff with information, advice, and guidance relating to learning opportunities within the Trust.
  • Assist in evaluations to inform the provision of future education and learning programmes.
  • Receive and log any issues or concerns raised by staff and help to ensure they are resolved effectively.
  • Prepare accurate and precise reports, both verbal and written.
Requirements
  • AHP with HCPC registration.
  • Degree-level Education or equivalent experience.
  • Teaching Qualification or willingness to work towards one.
  • Mentoring or coaching qualification.
  • Post Graduate Certificate in Education.
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Experience working at a senior level in a range of physical health settings.
  • Recent evidence of continuing personal and professional development.
  • Small group facilitation.
  • Significant clinical experience.
  • Theoretical and practical experience of service improvement and project delivery.
  • Experience in Course and Curriculum design.
  • Experience of teaching and facilitation of clinical skills to a wide range of staff within a healthcare setting.
  • Experience of working in a project environment.
