Job Summary

Anord Mardix, a leading global manufacturer of switchgear and associated products, is seeking a highly skilled EMEA Customs Compliance Manager to join our team in Kendal, England.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive customs compliance program to ensure adherence to international regulations and standards.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of regional and global customs/trade initiatives, including classification policies, trade audits, and risk management.
  • Oversee the day-to-day import/export activities of Anord Mardix (Ireland) and Anord Mardix (UK) personnel.
  • Ensure proper import/export documentation and procedures are maintained in accordance with customs standards and requirements.
  • Recommend corrective action to ensure all import/export transactions adhere to customs compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure customs requirements are met and inform of any issues that may arise affecting their operations.
  • Continuously update processes in line with changing legislation.
  • Conduct internal audits and report findings.
Requirements
  • Comprehensive understanding of international trade, compliance, and customs regulations.
  • Excellent knowledge of export and import controls.
  • Extensive knowledge of tariffs, Incoterms, deferment, and VAT postponed accounting.
  • Experience in customs compliance, HMRC audits, tax, or duty applications is desirable.
  • Previous exposure to the development of business policies and process governance within an international business is desirable.
