Equity Investment Associate

About the Position
As an Equity Investment Associate, you will play a crucial role in contributing to our investment strategies from day one.
This position offers a unique opportunity to engage in various facets of the investment lifecycle, including direct investments, co-investments, and fund allocations, covering a wide range of private equity and infrastructure activities. Your responsibilities will span from transaction origination and structuring to asset management and portfolio oversight.
The ideal candidate will join a collaborative team of Analysts, Associates, and Senior Associates, working across multiple equity divisions.
There is a clear career trajectory for you to deepen your expertise within either team, advancing from Senior Associate to Associate Investment Director and beyond.
Your Responsibilities
As a valued member of the Private Markets team, you will be tasked with:
- Assisting in the origination of investment opportunities through targeted research and analysis across various sectors.
- Engaging with potential investment targets and overseeing current portfolio companies and investment managers.
- Preparing for meetings with management teams and key stakeholders.
- Conducting investment due diligence, which includes quantitative modeling and qualitative assessments of investment opportunities, as well as structuring and valuation analysis.
- Supporting legal processes, including the preparation of transaction documentation.
- Coordinating with external advisors such as investment banks, General Partners (GPs), and legal counsel.
- Co-authoring Investment Committee documentation and contributing to presentations during Investment Committee meetings.
- Collaborating with internal teams, including responsible investment, tax, legal, operational due diligence, risk, and compliance.

To excel in this role, you should have:
- Experience in financial services, preferably within investment management, investment banking, corporate finance, accounting, or consulting.
- Familiarity with infrastructure and/or private equity.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, particularly in company valuation and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in cash flow modeling techniques, such as LBO and DCF modeling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships both internally and externally.
- A collaborative spirit, contributing positively to a team-oriented environment.
- A proactive work ethic and a desire for continuous learning and development.
- The ability to work in the UK with occasional travel requirements.
