Equity Investment Associate

Position Overview
As an Equity Investment Associate, you will play a crucial role in contributing to our investment initiatives from day one.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to engage in various facets of the investment cycle, including direct investments, co-investments, and fund allocations, covering a wide array of infrastructure and private equity operations—from deal origination and structuring to asset management and portfolio oversight.
The ideal candidate will join a collaborative team of equity Analysts, Associates, and Senior Associates, with a clear career trajectory leading to specialization in either equity domain, advancing from Senior Associate to Associate Investment Director and further.
Key Responsibilities
As a valued member of the Private Markets team, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in origination efforts through targeted research and analysis across various sectors and themes.
- Engaging with potential investment targets and monitoring current portfolio companies and investment managers.
- Preparing for discussions with management teams and key stakeholders.
- Conducting investment due diligence, which includes quantitative modeling and qualitative assessments of investment opportunities, as well as structuring, valuation, and returns analysis.
- Supporting legal processes, including transaction documentation.
- Coordinating with external advisors such as investment banks, General Partners (GPs), and legal counsel.
- Co-authoring Investment Committee documentation and contributing to presentations at Investment Committee meetings.
- Collaborating with internal teams including responsible investment, tax, legal, operational due diligence, risk, and compliance.

To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Experience in financial services, particularly in investment or advisory roles (investment management, investment banking, corporate finance, accounting, ratings agency, law, or consulting).
- Familiarity with infrastructure and/or private equity sectors.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills applicable to company valuation and financial assessments.
- Proficiency in cash flow modeling techniques (e.g., LBO and/or DCF modeling).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster relationships both internally and externally.
- A collaborative spirit, contributing to a supportive team environment.
- A proactive work ethic and a desire for continuous learning and development.
- The capability to work in the UK, with occasional travel requirements.
