We are seeking a highly skilled Investment Associate - Equity to join our Private Markets Group at Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS). This is an exciting opportunity to participate in all aspects of the investment process across a mix of direct investment, co-investment, and fund investments, encompassing the full breadth of infrastructure and private equity activity.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to origination activities across themes and sectors with targeted research and analysis
- Liaise with potential targets and monitor existing investee companies and investment managers
- Support preparation for meetings with management teams and key stakeholders
- Conduct investment due diligence, including quantitative modelling and qualitative analysis of investment and divestment opportunities
- Support legal workstreams, including transaction documentation
- Coordinate external advisors, including investment banks, General Partners (GPs), external counsel, and other advisers
- Co-author Investment Committee papers and present materials at Investment Committee
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including responsible investment, tax, investment legal, operational due diligence, risk, and compliance
We are looking for a talented individual with a background in financial services, ideally in an investment or advisory context. You will have prior exposure to infrastructure and/or private equity, strong analytical and numerical skills, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Post-graduation experience in financial services, ideally in an investment or advisory context
