Library Services Associate – Stroud/Nailsworth Library – 17 hours in Stroud + 5 hours in Nailsworth Library = 22 hours per week:

Weekly Schedule :

  • Week 1: Monday in Nailsworth Library (5 hours), Tuesday (hours), Wednesday (hours), Thursday (hours), Friday (hours), and Saturday OFF = 22
  • Week 2: Monday in Nailsworth Library (5 hours), Tuesday OFF, Wednesday (hours), Thursday (hours), Friday (hours), and Saturday (hours) = 22

About The Team & Role

Library Services Associates serve as the public representatives of the Library Service, ensuring that patrons have access to all available resources and facilitating activities such as storytelling sessions and interactive programs for children. Proficiency in library information technology systems is essential, as is the ability to provide basic guidance on computer and tablet usage for those in need.

About You

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team in the Stroud cluster of libraries. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in the daily operations, development, and management of Stroud and Nailsworth libraries.

The successful candidate should possess and demonstrate the following qualifications in their application:

  • Proven experience in delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational abilities.
  • Experience in planning or facilitating events for children.
  • Proficient ICT skills.
  • Understanding of library services and their significance within the community.
