Job Title: Technical Integration Specialist

As a Technical Integration Specialist at Ecotricity, you will play a key role in shaping the future of renewable energy by leading the technical integration of flexible assets into the Ecotricity Smart Grid VPP.

About the Role:
  • Key Responsibilities: Establish EcoLink connections for asset integration and onboarding, advise on technical requirements for National Grid ancillary services, and develop methods of control and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with the Development team to progress developable and commercially viable projects, and collaborate with the Trading team to arbitrage price spreads and develop revenues from the ancillary services market.
  • Engage with Stakeholders: Liaise with National Grid ESO and Distributed Network Operators to ensure platform assets meet service requirements, and engage with the Development team to develop service requirements and maintain accurate asset state data.
About the Team:

The Smart Grid team is responsible for developing and maintaining the Ecotricity Virtual Power Plant (VPP) platform, Ecolibrium, and procuring flexibility assets for the VPP.

Requirements:
  • Strong Engineering Background: A strong engineering background and relevant experience are required for this role.
  • Technical Skills: Excellent MS Excel, Word, and Visio skills are necessary for this position.
  • Communication Skills: Strong report writing ability is essential for this role.
