Job Overview:

Objective:

To deliver a professional and efficient service that encompasses logistical responsibilities and inventory management within operational teams, ensuring seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing security systems and general administrative tasks.
  • Executing administrative functions for facilities, including waste data collection, processing payments to contractors, and documenting meeting minutes.
  • Managing daily inventory and stock oversight.
  • Controlling stock from receipt to dispatch.
  • Maintaining optimal stock levels.
  • Acquiring materials and tools for related technical tasks.
  • Processing orders and distributing spare parts, components, and laboratory equipment.
  • Delivering parts to technicians as required.
  • Handling loading and unloading of deliveries.
  • Establishing and nurturing relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Complying with all operational procedures for laboratory conditions.
  • Contributing to the efficient functioning of laboratories by performing various non-project-related tasks.
  • Enhancing the perception of the organization as a reliable business partner.
  • Ensuring stock availability at all times.
  • Minimizing downtime due to stock shortages.
  • Painting interior and exterior areas as needed.
  • Repairing wall damage, filling cracks and holes, and fixing wallpaper issues.
  • Addressing ad-hoc maintenance requests.
  • Minimizing disruptions to clients during work activities.
  • Evaluating porterage tasks and conducting health and safety risk assessments, ensuring staff are informed of their responsibilities.
  • Sorting, delivering, and collecting mail across the site as directed.
  • Relocating office furniture and equipment while adhering to manual handling protocols and risk assessments.
  • Reorganizing meeting and conference room setups as instructed.
  • Completing porterage help desk requests as needed.
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive tasks as assigned.
  • Performing minor mechanical and handyman duties.
  • Providing support to external parties as necessary.
  • Responding to reasonable requests and instructions from supervisors and management.

Candidate Profile:

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Prior experience in inventory management.
  • Valid driving license.
  • Technical skills or qualifications in a relevant craft or engineering field.
  • Understanding of essential operational procedures.
  • Experience in customer service.
  • Strong administrative skills.
  • Proficient in telephone and IT communication.
  • Organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
