About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Manager to join our team at English Heritage. As a Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing a small internal team, as well as specialist contractors, to provide a high-quality facilities service for our Stonehenge site and wider landscape.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a small internal team and specialist contractors to provide a comprehensive facilities service.
  • Provide client-side support to our National Project Managers and Historic Properties team to ensure new buildings and systems integrate and meet the demanding requirements of a very busy visitor attraction.
  • Collaborate with West Estates colleagues to care for sites in the Stonehenge landscape.
  • Manage projects effectively and ensure they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and contracts for mechanical and electrical services.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and CDM requirements.
Requirements
  • Experience of administering mechanical and electrical or building and civil engineering term maintenance contracts and schedules of rates.
  • Experience of undertaking technical client-side roles on large projects (£1 million+).
  • Relevant experience within a large visitor attraction with complex services.
  • Ability to lead, manage, and plan the work of others.
  • Ability to manage projects effectively.
  • H&S/CDM knowledge and experience.
