  • Salary: £23,500 per annum (not prorated)
  • Hours: 38.5 hours per week
  • Contract: Permanent, Monday to Friday

At our institution, we provide specialized education for a diverse group of students aged 3.5 to 19 years. Our Secondary School accommodates approximately 125 learners, ensuring they receive personalized attention in smaller class sizes while pursuing various qualifications tailored to their individual needs.

The mission of our facility is to offer sufficient support to help each child realize their potential, enabling them to lead fulfilling and productive lives. We strive to give young individuals as much freedom as possible within a safe and supervised setting, made possible by our dedicated team of professionals who are passionate, reliable, and understanding.

Your Role

Embark on a rewarding career in education and make a significant difference in the lives of children and young people. Join a remarkable team that fosters supportive and nurturing environments where our students achieve beyond their expectations.

As an Autism Support Specialist, you will engage directly with the exceptional children and young individuals in our care, ensuring they receive the highest quality of education. Each student has a diagnosis of Autism and may have additional needs, and they will depend on your guidance throughout their unique learning journeys.

Your responsibilities will include preparing educational materials and facilitating classroom activities, offering hands-on experiences with appropriate supervision. You will also attend to their emotional and physical needs, supporting their development as individuals and helping them connect with the world around them.

Every day will present new challenges, but you will have all the support necessary to flourish and grow, sharing your expertise and learning from others as you advance in your career.

Who We Seek

No prior experience is required to join our team. If you come from backgrounds such as hospitality, the military, outdoor education, or office environments and have a genuine desire to assist vulnerable children and young people in leading happy, fulfilling lives, this position is ideal for you. We provide comprehensive training and development to ensure your success in this role.

You should be adaptable and prepared to take on various classroom responsibilities, both indoors and outdoors, based on individual needs. With a responsive and compassionate approach, you may be leading classroom activities, facilitating outdoor experiences, or supervising children as they explore their surroundings.

Our organization thrives on teamwork and mutual support. If you enjoy collaborating with a dedicated team, sharing knowledge and experiences, we encourage you to complete our safeguarding-compliant application form, and a member of our team will reach out to you.
