This full-time position involves working closely with students requiring individualized support, focusing on both one-on-one and small group interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with autism, fostering their learning and development.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to create an inclusive learning environment.
  • Utilize effective communication strategies to engage with students.
  • Implement alternative communication methods, such as PECS or Makaton, to enhance student interaction.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children on the autism spectrum is essential.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Previous training in Team Teach techniques is advantageous, and training opportunities are available.
