Position Overview

Role: Special Needs Support Assistant
Type: Full-time

TimePlan Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Needs Support Assistant who is passionate about enhancing the educational experience of children with special educational needs.

About the Institution

The institution provides a nurturing environment for children and young adults aged 5 to 18, addressing a range of special educational needs including Autism, Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, severe learning difficulties, and complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support individual students on a 1:1 basis, focusing on their learning and care requirements.
  • Assist in the development of tailored educational plans to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should possess:

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs.
  • A background in a school-based setting, demonstrating an understanding of educational support.
  • A valid DBS check registered with the online update service, or a willingness to obtain one.
  • Availability to work five days a week, with a commitment of at least 1-6 months.
