Specialized Support Role

We are currently seeking a Behavioural Support Specialist to join our team at a service in the South East. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, resilient, and dedicated to supporting individuals with learning disabilities and behavioral needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support individuals in their daily activities and help them develop essential life skills.
  • Encourage participation in preferred activities and introduce new experiences to broaden horizons.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and comfortable living environment.
  • Facilitate communication and positive interactions.
  • Utilize Positive Behaviour Support strategies to manage anxieties and frustrations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and contribute to essential paperwork and data analysis.
  • Drive individuals to activities as needed.
  • Provide personal care and maintain accurate records.

Requirements:

Essential:

  • NVQ Level or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum years of experience working with individuals with Autism/Challenging Behavior/Learning Disabilities.
  • Valid driving license.

Desirable:

  • Experience in leading creative activities for vulnerable adults.
