Job Summary:

Protocol Education is seeking a Behavioural Support Specialist to join our team. As a Behavioural Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting students who are facing behavioural, attendance, and social challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance to students who are struggling with behavioural or social challenges
  • Support the development and implementation of behaviour management strategies
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to identify and address student needs
  • Maintain accurate records of student behaviour and incidents
  • Provide objective and accurate feedback to teachers and other support staff regarding student behaviour
  • Assist in the development and implementation of behaviour plans
  • Support students in moving between lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Strong English language and communication skills
  • Relevant training in behaviour management and conflict resolution
  • Experience working with teenagers in an educational setting
  • Ability to calmly address emotional situations and maintain assertiveness and consistency in approach
