NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde stands as one of the largest healthcare providers in the UK, employing approximately 40,000 professionals across a diverse range of clinical and non-clinical roles. Our services encompass acute hospital care, primary care, community health, and mental health services, catering to a population exceeding 1.15 million, and extending to 2.2 million when including our regional and national services.

The standard working schedule is Monday to Friday.

In a progressive move, NHS Scotland is transitioning to a full-time working week of 37 hours, effective from April 2024, without any alterations to remuneration. This change will also apply proportionately to part-time staff. Consequently, this position reflects the updated working hours. However, due to varying service area capabilities, you may be required to work an additional 30 minutes weekly temporarily, for which compensation will be provided until your service adjusts its rosters or working patterns.

We invite applications from enthusiastic individuals eager to seize a new opportunity within Scotland's largest Podiatry service.

As a unified service comprising Podiatry Assistants, Specialists, and Advanced Podiatrists, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde offers an excellent platform for skill development and career progression. Our approach is patient-centered and needs-driven, ensuring that clinical assessments and diagnoses lead to tailored management plans for individual patients. We emphasize rehabilitation, incorporating self-care elements into treatment plans where appropriate.

This role presents a unique opportunity to establish and strengthen foundational connections within the AHP Practice Based Learning (PrBL) network across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and NHS Scotland, while also enhancing the quality of clinical education and placement provision for undergraduate Podiatry programs in Scotland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the design and implementation of practice-based learning for undergraduate podiatry students.
  • Deliver quality, person-centered care to a complex patient caseload.
