Our organization is dedicated to delivering comprehensive healthcare services, including acute hospital care, primary care, community services, and mental health support to a population exceeding 1.15 million.
The standard working schedule for this position is Monday to Friday.
In alignment with NHS Scotland's initiative to reduce the full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours, effective from April 2024, this position will reflect the new working hours. However, due to the gradual implementation across various service areas, there may be a temporary requirement to work an additional 30 minutes per week, for which compensation will be provided until the transition to the new schedule is complete.

This role encompasses a collaborative environment with Podiatry Assistants, Specialist, and Advanced Podiatrists, offering an excellent platform for skill development and career progression. The Podiatry Service is committed to delivering high-quality patient care through comprehensive triage, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide array of conditions across diverse patient demographics.
This position presents a significant opportunity to establish and strengthen connections within the AHP Practice Based Learning (PrBL) network in NHSGGCC and throughout NHS Scotland, while enhancing the quality of clinical education and placement opportunities for undergraduate Podiatry students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the design and implementation of practice-based learning for undergraduate podiatry students.
- Deliver quality, patient-centered care to a complex patient caseload.
- Collaborate with the local and broader NHSGG&C Podiatry team to support service delivery.
- Engage with Higher Education Institution (HEI) colleagues to facilitate effective practice-based learning.
Essential attributes for this role include excellent communication skills, proven problem-solving abilities, self-discipline, and a compassionate approach to patient care. This opportunity is available on a full-time basis.
