Role Overview

The Clinical Pathway Coordinator is responsible for the precise transcription of medical correspondence utilizing Winscribe, ensuring high-quality output within established timelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prioritize urgent clinical letters and provide administrative assistance to the 2WW Specialty Personal Assistant.
  • Establish and uphold administrative systems and databases.
  • Manage incoming correspondence and oversee results and reports.
  • Produce discharge summaries and clinical documents from audio recordings or written materials.
  • Utilize Careflow to add patients to the waiting list.
  • Exercise judgment to assess the urgency of requests within set guidelines.
  • Respond to telephone inquiries and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Conduct peer audits of clinical correspondence to maintain a high standard of accuracy and quality.
Communication Skills

Demonstrate the ability to convey sensitive or contentious information with discretion and confidentiality, ensuring timely communication with relevant personnel.

Appointment Management

Schedule appointments using essential clinical information to guarantee that patients are seen promptly along their care pathway.

Data Management

Manage email accounts to retrieve Inter Provider Transfers and take appropriate actions as needed. Ensure the accuracy of RTT (Referral To Treatment) patient data at all times.

Flexibility and Support

Adapt to the evolving needs of the service, considering the unique specialties of each department. Provide coverage for the Personal Assistant during periods of absence and undertake additional duties as required.
