We are thrilled to announce an opportunity for a Clinical Support Coordinator to become a vital part of our dedicated and innovative team at High Green Medical Practice.

Key Responsibilities

The Clinical Support Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our clinics by managing routine administrative and clinical tasks, thereby allowing our healthcare professionals to concentrate on patient care.

We are looking for a collaborative individual who is adaptable, eager to learn, and willing to participate in ongoing training.

About Our Practice

Our team consists of two GP Partners, a Primary Care Practitioner, GP Trainees, and a welcoming reception staff. We also have access to a variety of ARRS personnel, including a Care Coordinator, First Contact Physiotherapist, and Clinical Pharmacist.

Our patient list comprises approximately 8,500 individuals.

We utilize the SystmOne Clinical system.

Our practice has received a 'Good' rating from the CQC.

We consistently achieve high QOF results.

Our staff is a dedicated and long-serving team.

Job Duties

The following are the primary duties of the Clinical Support Coordinator. Additional tasks may be required based on workload and staffing needs:

- Schedule appointments, tests, and follow-up visits for patients

- Facilitate referrals on behalf of the GP, both internally and externally

- Conduct basic clinical observations and investigations as directed, such as dipstick urine tests, blood pressure measurements, ECGs, and phlebotomy

- Assist the GP with immunizations and wound care

- Aid the GP in liaising with external agencies

- Manage clinical correspondence and prioritize tasks for the GP

- Extract and code information from clinical letters into patient records

- Support QOF reviews

- Promote healthy lifestyle choices to patients

Candidate Profile

Essential Qualifications

  • Good general education (GCSE A* - C or equivalent)
  • Experience in a patient-facing role
  • Proficient in IT systems
  • Ability to deliver quality care
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Organized and pragmatic approach
  • Tactful and diplomatic demeanor
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize workload effectively
  • Flexibility in working hours

Desirable Qualifications

  • GP Assistant Certificate or working towards it
  • NVQ in Health and Social Care
  • Phlebotomy qualification
  • Familiarity with SystmOne
  • Experience in Health and Social Care
  • Background in Phlebotomy or Healthcare Assistant roles
  • Awareness of blood-borne viruses
