Allen & York is excited to collaborate with the Cleaner Safer Group in their quest for a new Chief Executive Officer.


Chief Executive Officer

HETAS and Woodsure operate as non-profit entities within the Cleaner Safer Group, committed to fostering cleaner and safer environments by minimizing particulate and carbon emissions.

They engage in partnerships with governmental bodies, industry specialists, and innovators to deliver expert guidance, training, and evidence-based insights.

Their objective is to establish industry standards for best practices, enhance the adoption of cleaner fuels and efficient appliances, and influence legislation aimed at improving air quality and public health.


Role Overview: The organisation is in search of a dynamic and visionary Chief Executive Officer to steer their mission into its next phase of growth and influence.

The ideal candidate will be a charismatic leader, deeply passionate about environmental sustainability, and equipped with the necessary skills and experience to shape government policy, lead a senior management team, and propel the organisation's strategic vision forward.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

Formulate and communicate a comprehensive vision and strategy for the Cleaner Safer Group, aligning with their mission and objectives.

Empower the senior management team to implement strategic initiatives and drive organisational advancement. Cultivate a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence throughout the organisation.

Government Relations and Policy Advocacy: Establish and nurture effective relationships with governmental stakeholders, policymakers, and regulatory agencies. Advocate for policies and regulations that support cleaner fuels, efficient appliances, and environmental sustainability. Leverage expertise and influence to shape national and EU standards for appliances, fuels, and installation practices.

Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a trusted expert advisor and influential presenter for HETAS Ltd, both internally and externally.
Interact with industry stakeholders, businesses, consumers, and regulators to provide current advice and promote best practices. Actively engage in industry events, conferences, and forums to further the mission and objectives of the Cleaner Safer Group.

Operational Excellence:
Through the senior management team, oversee daily operations, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of services and programs. Monitor key performance indicators, financial metrics, and organisational impact to foster continuous improvement. Ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience in a senior leadership position, preferably within a related industry or non-profit organisation. A successful history of influencing government policy and regulatory frameworks. Strong comprehension of environmental sustainability issues and a commitment to driving positive change. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse stakeholders. A strategic thinker capable of translating vision into actionable plans and achieving results. A collaborative leadership style with experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.
