Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development and education of staff within the department, ensuring a progressive learning environment for all grades of nursing staff. This role requires proven clinical Emergency Nursing knowledge and skills, with experience of leading teams on clinical shifts.

Main Responsibilities
  • Maintain a progressive learning environment for all grades of nursing staff, ensuring a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Support and coordinate the development of Health Care Assistants, TNA's, NA's, and pre- and post-registration nursing students, providing educational activities and assessments of learning within the department.
  • Coordinate statutory and mandatory training to ensure compliance within the Care Group and Trust-wide.
  • Actively promote and contribute to inter-professional learning activities across the Care Group and Trust-wide.
  • Lead education and training for the specialist area of practice, ensuring the highest standards of care and patient safety.
  • Provide pastoral support, guidance, and training to all stakeholders on all aspects of pre- and post-registration nursing/midwifery.
Requirements
  • NMC Registered Nurse Level 1 or Level 2, depending on whether working with adults or children.
  • Significant and proven clinical and management skills within a relevant clinical field.
