Senior Medical Administrative Coordinator

Role Overview:

The Senior Medical Administrative Coordinator plays a pivotal role in the operational success of our healthcare facility. This position is integral to ensuring that our medical secretary team operates efficiently and effectively, providing essential support to our medical leadership and clinical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor the medical secretary team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Manage team resources and schedules to ensure adequate coverage and support for all administrative functions.
  • Provide high-level secretarial assistance to the Hospital Medical Director and Associate Medical Director, including document preparation and correspondence management.
  • Facilitate administrative support for the clinical team, including diary management, appointment scheduling, and visitor coordination.
  • Maintain proficiency in electronic patient record systems, ensuring compliance with confidentiality and information governance standards.
  • Collaborate with various departments to enhance operational efficiency and patient care quality.

Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum GCSE (Grades A-C) or equivalent qualifications.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent audio-typing skills.
  • A commitment to delivering exceptional service within a healthcare setting.
  • Effective time management abilities, with a keen understanding of prioritizing tasks based on urgency and importance.
  • Previous experience in diary management and minute-taking is essential.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all administrative tasks.
  • Background in clinical administration is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
