Senior Medical Receptionist

Responsibilities:
- Over seeing the administration and support of the practice ensuring staff achieve their primary responsibilities
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays or payments
- Maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow, Co-ordinate Staff Rota's, staff holiday planning
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing and scanning documents
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, addressing any concerns or issues
**Experience**:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar administrative role
- Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations with professionalism
