We are looking for an individual eager to embrace their next opportunity within a healthcare setting or to explore new avenues for professional growth. Our administrative personnel are comprehensively trained across all facets of reception and administrative duties, and we actively encourage our team members to take initiative in various areas to enhance their involvement in the practice. As a training practice, we prioritize the development of our staff.

Working in a healthcare environment can be challenging, so we are in search of someone who is dynamic, forward-thinking, a collaborative team player, and also capable of working independently. Comprehensive training will be provided as part of the role. Our systems include EMIS WEB, Docman 10, and AccuRx, and we proudly maintain the highest registration rate for the NHS APP in our region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing incoming phone calls
  • Scheduling and canceling appointments
  • Handling prescription requests
  • Processing correspondence from hospitals
  • Managing referral communications
  • Addressing patient inquiries
  • Coordinating with hospitals and other healthcare entities
  • Assisting with care navigation
  • Collaborating with GPs
  • Completing tasks assigned by GPs, Nurses, or the Practice Manager
  • Undertaking additional responsibilities as requested.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum of GCSE qualifications
  • Previous experience in NHS healthcare administration or a similar role

  • Proven experience in patient interaction
  • Proficient in computer usage

Desirable Experience

  • Familiarity with EMIS Web
  • Experience with Docman 10
