Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Sister/Charge Nurse to join our dynamic team at the Princess Royal Hospital. As a key member of our Emergency Department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of excellent clinical services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the effective management and movement of patients through the emergency acute care areas, utilizing your clinical expertise and leadership skills to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to promote evidence-based practice, improve patient outcomes, and enhance the overall patient experience.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve communication, teamwork, and patient flow within the department.
  • Provide clinical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior staff members, promoting their professional development and growth.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • NMC registration with current PIN
  • Minimum of 3 years emergency care experience
  • Substantial experience at Band 6 in an acute care setting
  • Evidence of academic qualification relating to Emergency Care
  • Mentorship course
  • Emergency Care Pathway
  • Leadership experience
