Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and coordinating clinical skills training and educational programs aimed at fostering safe and effective nursing practices. This role is pivotal in supporting the growth of a skilled workforce, ensuring the provision of high-quality, safe, and compassionate healthcare services. The individual will also serve as a leader and role model, actively promoting inter-professional learning initiatives across the organization.

Main Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Advanced Clinical Educator and Senior Practice Development Nurse to design and implement clinical skills training and educational programs.
  • Utilize research-based guidelines and protocols to enhance nursing service delivery and the quality of care.
  • Engage with Senior Sisters and Charge Nurses to monitor and support the performance of nursing staff, providing guidance and supervision as needed.
  • Identify, plan, and coordinate educational and professional development needs for students, new hires, and existing staff within the emergency care division.
  • Advance clinical knowledge and skills through approved learning and assessment methodologies.
  • Facilitate the work of Trust Nursing Strategy groups and Clinical Governance initiatives related to emergency care, ensuring cohesive collaboration within the specialty.
  • Promote a culture that encourages practice development and continuous improvement.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as delegated by management, in alignment with service needs.
