Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Sister/Charge Nurse to join the Emergency Department at Princess Royal Hospital. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of clinical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the effective management and movement of patients through the emergency acute care areas.
  • Utilize clinical relationships, staff, and available resources to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Adhere to departmental, Trust, and Government policies to ensure compliance and excellence.
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise to ensure excellence in patient care, managing, teaching, and encouraging professional development for all staff.
  • Meet Emergency Department Clinical Quality Indicators, KPIs, and National Performance Targets.
Requirements
  • NMC registration with current PIN.
  • Minimum of 3 years emergency care experience.
  • Substantial experience at Band 6 in an acute care setting.
  • Evidence of academic qualification relating to Emergency Care.
  • Mentorship course.
  • Emergency Care Pathway.
  • Leadership experience.
