About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Research Nurse to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust (279). As a key member of our Clinical Infection Research Team, you will play a vital role in managing and overseeing a portfolio of clinical research studies relating to HIV, Infectious Diseases, Sexual Health, ENT, Audiology, and Ophthalmology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate clinical research trials, ensuring compliance with research protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Recruit research patients/participants, assess their suitability, and provide specialist nursing care and treatment.
  • Collaborate with Principal Investigators, Chief Investigators, and research teams to ensure seamless trial execution.
  • Provide expert advice to patients/participants and carers on clinical research and specialist areas.
  • Supervise and support nursing staff, promoting a safe and respectful clinical environment.
Person Specification

We are looking for a Registered Nurse with a background in related specialties, preferably with experience in HIV, Sexual Health, or other relevant areas. You should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. A GCP certificate and research interest are desirable, but not essential.
