About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Research Nurse to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust (279). As a Clinical Research Nurse, you will play a vital role in the planning, coordination, and implementation of clinical research trials in HIV, Infectious Diseases, Sexual Health, ENT, Audiology, and Ophthalmology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients and plan, implement, and manage care in accordance with research protocols.
  • Recruit research patients/participants and conduct specialist nursing procedures and treatments as directed by research protocols.
  • Provide specialist advice to patients/participants and carers regarding clinical research and specialist areas.
  • Supervise other members of the nursing team and support staff.
  • Work flexibly and maintain accurate documentation of care to facilitate continuity of care for patients transferred to other areas.
Person Specification

We are looking for a Registered Nurse with HIV experience (post-reg) and Sexual Health experience (post-reg). The ideal candidate will demonstrate understanding of the clinical research nurse role, autonomy, and team working skills. A GCP certificate and research interest are desirable.
