We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Research Nurse to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust (279). As a Clinical Research Nurse, you will play a critical role in managing and overseeing a portfolio of clinical research studies relating to HIV, Infectious Diseases, and Sexual Health.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patients and plan, implement, and manage care in accordance with research protocols.
- Recruit research patients/participants and work with the Principal Investigator/Chief Investigator/Research Team to ensure successful trial execution.
- Provide specialist advice to patients/participants and carers regarding clinical research and specialist areas.
- Supervise other members of the nursing team and support staff to ensure a safe and effective clinical environment.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care and facilitate continuity of care for patients transferred to other areas.
We are looking for a Registered Nurse with experience in HIV, Infectious Diseases, and Sexual Health. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the clinical research nurse role and be able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
Essential qualifications include:
- Registered Nurse
- HIV experience (post-reg)
- Sexual Health experience (post-reg)
- Other relevant speciality (post-reg)
Desirable qualifications include:
- GCP certificate
- Research interest
- IT skills
