  • Provide coverage for long-term illnesses, general absences, holidays, and recruitment shortages.
  • Ensure that the quality and presentation of all meals align with the company's standards and client expectations.
  • Assist in menu planning and development, considering dietary restrictions, nutritional guidelines, and seasonal produce.
  • Quickly adjust to various kitchen settings and team dynamics.
  • Step in for permanent chefs as necessary, maintaining consistency and quality.
  • Be available to work across multiple locations within the designated area.
  • Collaborate with the catering team to execute special events, themed dinners, and other culinary projects.
  • Promote a positive working atmosphere by demonstrating leadership qualities, effective communication, and teamwork.

Are you an experienced Senior Chef who thrives in independent work and is seeking a fulfilling opportunity? If so, consider joining our Relief Team and become part of an organization that prioritizes young people and helps create meals that inspire our students.

You will be responsible for covering a designated area of Independent Schools within our expanding South-East region. We provide a company vehicle or reimburse mileage and fuel expenses. We offer flexibility regarding hours, contracts, and locations for the right candidate.

Experience within a Relief Team in contract catering or education is preferred but not mandatory.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Head Chef or Chef Manager to establish themselves within our contract catering company and contribute to setting new standards in educational catering.



Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a contract catering company or educational institution is preferred.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certifications from a recognized culinary institution.
  • Strong understanding of food safety standards and best practices.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Fun and enthusiastic demeanor.
