The Role: Relief Chef Manager

As a Relief Chef Manager, you will play a vital role in our culinary team, ensuring smooth kitchen operations across various school locations within the South-East region. You will be responsible for leading and motivating kitchen staff, maintaining high standards of food quality and safety, and adapting to the diverse needs of each school.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to established procedures.
  • Lead and mentor a team of chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Develop and implement menus that meet the nutritional requirements and preferences of students and faculty.
  • Maintain strict hygiene and safety standards in accordance with industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with school administrators to understand their specific needs and catering requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Chef Manager or similar role within a contract catering environment.
  • Relevant culinary qualifications, such as NVQ Level 3 in Professional Cookery or equivalent.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • A passion for delivering high-quality food and exceptional customer service.
