Position Overview

As a Culinary Support Chef, you will play a vital role in our dynamic organization, working alongside our esteemed culinary leadership to create delightful dishes that cater to both health and satisfaction.

In addition to possessing outstanding presentation, organizational, and communication skills, you will showcase a genuine enthusiasm for food and service.

  • Provide coverage for extended sick leave, general absences, vacations, and recruitment shortages.
  • Ensure that the quality and presentation of all meals align with the company’s standards and client expectations.
  • Contribute to menu planning and development, considering dietary needs, nutritional guidelines, and seasonal produce.
  • Quickly acclimate to various kitchen settings and team dynamics.
  • Step in for permanent chefs as required, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Be available to work across multiple locations within the assigned geographical area.
  • Collaborate with the catering team to implement special events, themed meals, and other culinary projects.
  • Promote a positive work atmosphere by demonstrating leadership qualities, effective communication, and teamwork.

Are you a seasoned Senior Chef who thrives in independent work and is seeking a fulfilling opportunity? Join our Relief Team and contribute to an organization that prioritizes young people and creates inspiring meals for students.

Your responsibilities will include covering a designated area of Independent Schools within our expanding South-East region. We provide a company vehicle or reimburse mileage and fuel costs. We are flexible regarding working hours, contracts, and locations for the right candidate.

Experience in a Relief Team within contract catering or educational settings is preferred but not mandatory.

This is an excellent opportunity for a talented Head Chef or Chef Manager to establish themselves within our contract catering company and help set new benchmarks for educational catering.



Qualifications
  • Prior experience in a similar role within a contract catering environment or educational institution is preferred.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certifications from a recognized culinary institution.
  • Strong understanding of food safety standards and best practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work efficiently under pressure in a high-volume kitchen.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
  • Enthusiastic and fun-loving personality.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • A collaborative team player who enjoys collective success.
