Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing strategic HR support to our managers and employees, ensuring the effective management of our workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Induction and Onboarding: Develop and implement a comprehensive induction program to ensure new employees have a smooth transition into the company.
  • HR Metrics and Reporting: Generate regular reports on HR metrics, including headcount, absence, and diversity, to inform business decisions.
  • Employee Engagement: Lead initiatives to improve employee engagement, retention, and wellbeing, creating a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Discipline and Grievance: Provide guidance and support to managers on discipline and grievance issues, ensuring compliance with legislation and company policies.
  • Sickness Absence: Manage sickness absence, ensuring consistent application of the absence policy and providing support to employees.
  • Performance Management: Support managers with performance management activities, including goal setting and development planning.
  • HR Training: Design and deliver HR training programs to managers and employees, providing coaching and guidance as needed.
  • Employee Wellbeing: Lead initiatives to promote employee wellbeing, creating a culture of support and care.
  • Project Support: Provide HR support to projects, including employee engagement and communication.
  • Exit Interviews: Conduct exit interviews, analyze trends, and provide feedback to inform business decisions.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build effective relationships with stakeholders, providing guidance and advice as required.
  • HR Administration: Partner with the HR Administrator to ensure accurate processing, provision, and maintenance of HR data and systems.

Requirements

  • Experience in a generalist HR role, with a strong understanding of employment law, HR policy, and procedures.
  • CIPD-qualified or part-qualified, with a high level of HR knowledge and expertise.
  • Practical judgement and problem-solving skills, with the ability to respond to competing priorities and a flexible approach to business demands.
  • Highly developed relationship management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Familiarity with MS Office suite, with a high level of Excel and HRIS knowledge and expertise.
