Position Overview

The National Archives (TNA) is seeking a motivated and skilled professional to take on the role of Grants Development Manager. This position is pivotal in identifying and securing funding opportunities for various projects, partnerships, and fellowships. Collaborating closely with the Head of Grant Development and other team members, the Grants Development Manager will significantly contribute to TNA's Research Vision and enhance our fundraising capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, negotiate, and manage grant proposals that align with TNA's strategic objectives.
  • Provide guidance to project teams, facilitating successful applications and ensuring effective grant management.
  • Represent TNA in interactions with current and potential grant funders on both national and international platforms.
  • Oversee multiple grant applications simultaneously, working collaboratively across various disciplines within TNA.
  • Contribute to the development of our research training program, empowering staff to become proficient researchers and successful grant applicants.

Team Dynamics

The Grants Development team operates within the Research, Grants, and Academic Engagement department, focusing on:

  • Research strategy and execution
