Senior Editor, Children's Education

Bloomsbury Publishing Plc is seeking a highly skilled Senior Editor to join its Children's Education team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for shaping the next generation of educational books.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage educational content for children, including teacher resources, professional development titles, and illustrated picture books.
- Collaborate with authors, illustrators, agents, and third-party vendors to create high-quality educational materials.
- Project manage the life cycle of educational projects, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
- Develop, copy edit, and proofread manuscripts and layouts to meet company standards.
- Brief and manage cover design, ensuring it meets the needs of the end buyer and stands out in the market.
- Work closely with production to ensure all project requirements are met, including formats, specifications, and finishes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest education initiatives and trends, ensuring our content remains relevant and effective.
- Established editorial experience in educational publishing.
- Strong knowledge of the English language, with high standards of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with authors, illustrators, and other stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Awareness of print procedures, cost limitations, and profitability of educational projects.
