We are seeking an experienced Editor or Senior Editor to join our team at Inspired Selection, a leading publishing recruitment specialist. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in book publishing and a passion for the Education space.
Key Responsibilities- Manage educational titles through the editorial process, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality content.
- Collaborate with the Commissioning team to develop and implement editorial strategies.
- Project manage titles across various educational products, including teaching resources, professional development books, and illustrated fiction.
- Develop and maintain relationships with authors, sales teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless production and marketing processes.
- Proofread and edit manuscripts, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Support the development of sales materials, including catalogue copy and book fair materials.
- Proven editorial experience in book publishing, with a focus on Education.
- Strong understanding of teacher and learner needs, with the ability to develop content that meets these requirements.
- Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good prioritization and organization skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
