Eden Scott is seeking a skilled professional to join their team as a Contracts Manager. This role involves building relationships with hotels and service suppliers, contracting group allocations, and negotiating series for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To develop a clear buying strategy for destinations, setting group allocation objectives and placing strategy for all group series.
  • To establish and maintain strong working relationships with hotel and service suppliers.
  • To secure space at hotels at the best rates for tour series and facilitate relationships between hotels, reservations, and sales teams for ad hoc group placing.
  • To assume responsibility for placing series and confirming details and spaces with the business development and sales department, at the required budgets and locations, with ideal terms and conditions.
  • To stay up-to-date with hotels and services product knowledge through research, site visits, and regular placing trips.
  • To monitor and maintain relationships with coach suppliers, contracting best rates and space for series.
  • To track cancellation deadlines for Bedbanks, fulfill allocations, and nest space contracted, evaluating risks on overbookings with regular discussions with GMs and operations managers/supervisors.
  • To insert all seasonal space in the operations system with great attention to detail, following all procedures and processes to minimize errors.
  • To create and update yearly quoting rates by location and category, to facilitate no-name quotes for the quoting department, highlighting special event periods.
  • To work through cancellation reports for Bedbanks based on deadlines by contracts signed, using reports from the operations software.
  • To work under pressure, managing different source markets with varying requirements, categories, meal providers, and coach suppliers, maintaining a calm and level-headed demeanor.
  • To work collaboratively with different teams, prioritizing communication, both in writing and over the phone.

Requirements:

  • Experience in travel trade with groups or in hotel sales functions, understanding revenue, sales, seasonality, and group business.
  • Excellent knowledge of Scotland as a destination and its tourism products.
  • Ability to work as part of a team collaboratively and independently.
  • Confident ability on computers for operations software and research.
  • Understanding of current rates to be expected at hotels, principles of wash back, hotel revenue, allocations, etc.
  • Knowledge of Tourplan NX is a bonus, but full training will be provided.
  • Outgoing, friendly personality with a passion for building relationships and social interaction.
  • Willingness to travel around Scotland and Ireland visiting hotels on planned business schedules.

This role offers a flexible office/home working environment, and salary is dependent on experience.
