About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to join our Pre-Assessment team at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our administrative workload.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend to patients and discharge them onto relevant computer systems
  • Enter data onto Hospital IT systems, including PMS, Patient Centre, and Nexus
  • Handle phone calls and respond to queries or transfer calls to relevant departments
  • File paperwork and request outpatient appointments
  • Collect, transfer, and track notes
  • Perform other clerical duties as required
About the Team

The Pre-Assessment service supports patients awaiting elective surgery. We are a friendly and supportive team that prides itself on providing an attentive, caring, and responsive service to patients.

Requirements
  • A good standard of secondary education, including GCSE grade A-C or equivalent alternative qualification or experience
  • Literacy level 1 or equivalent (GCSE A-C)
  • Numeracy level 1 or equivalent
  • Previous administrative experience
  • Previous experience of working with and maintaining office and administrative IT systems
  • Previous experience of working in a customer-facing service, providing services directly to members of the public
  • Experience of working in and contributing to the performance of a team
