We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Safeguarding Support Coordinator to become an integral part of our team. This crucial position underpins our dedication to delivering safe and effective care.

The successful candidate will primarily operate from our designated office location, with the expectation of traveling to various sites within the Lancashire & South Cumbria area. Collaboration with fellow members of the Safeguarding Administration Team is essential to ensure a streamlined and confidential service.

This role presents unique challenges and demands, requiring the handling of sensitive and confidential information. The candidate must possess the ability to prioritize tasks effectively, engaging with relevant professionals within the Safeguarding Team and partner organizations.

Key Responsibilities

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate a solid administrative background, encompassing a variety of office-related tasks. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, MS Teams, and Outlook is essential. A comprehensive understanding of safeguarding administrative processes and experience in minute-taking during multi-agency meetings is also required.

The candidate should exhibit exceptional communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage their workload efficiently. A proactive and enthusiastic attitude is essential, along with a collaborative spirit. Flexibility is important, as the individual may be called upon to support other team members during periods of absence.

Qualifications

Essential

  • NVQ Level 3 / RSA Level 3 or equivalent experience.
  • Background in Business Administration.
  • ECDL certification.

Knowledge

  • Experience in a variety of secretarial functions.
  • Familiarity with safeguarding administrative processes.
  • Proficient understanding of Microsoft Office applications.

Experience
