Role Responsibilities:

Your primary responsibility will be to utilize your extensive knowledge to enhance the growth and innovation of our intricate, precision-engineered ball bearing products. You will lead and mentor a team, ensuring adherence to the highest standards in part measurement, visual inspection, calibration, and the development of measurement masters. Additionally, you will be instrumental in supporting New Product Development, conducting failure analysis, and performing process audits, all while fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

  • Assist teams in incoming inspection, measurement room activities, and gauge setting, leveraging your hands-on expertise.
  • Apply your experience to tasks such as part measurement, visual inspection, calibration, and the creation of measurement masters.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to address discrepancies and compile dimensional data for FAIR reports.
  • Investigate new measurement technologies with the team, enhance the capabilities of existing equipment (CMM, Talysurf, etc.), and design custom fixtures for complex components based on your practical insights.
  • Support New Product Development, conduct failure analysis, and perform process audits while mentoring your team.

Candidate Profile:

Education:

  • Master's Degree or equivalent in a STEM field such as Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Physics, with a solid academic foundation.
  • Languages: Fluent English is essential; additional languages are advantageous (German preferred).

Skills:

  • Extensive experience in measurement and inspection roles, with a proven history of delivering high-quality results.
  • Familiarity with precision components and micron-level tolerances across various materials.
  • Driven by a profound understanding of practical measurement principles and a passion for problem-solving.
  • Enthusiastic about learning new technologies, expanding team expertise, and building a flexible, responsive department.
  • Strong communication skills, thriving in a collaborative environment and inspiring others.
